Paula Flowerday graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas. Before attending law school, Paula received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Austin College, in Sherman, Texas.
After receiving her Texas law license, Paula chose to serve the people of Texas by providing legal services to governmental entities. Paula worked for the Texas Racing Commission for over 15 years, serving not only as the agency’s first General Counsel but also as its Executive Director. Paula also provided legal services for the Texas Legislative Council and the Texas Department of Public Safety. Most recently, Paula served as the attorney for the Denton County Probate Court.
Paula is a trained mediator and volunteers as a mediator through the Denton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
Paula Flowerday resides near Pilot Point, with her husband Scott and two rescued Airedales, Molly and Buck. A life-long Presbyterian, Paula and Scott currently attend Trinity Presbyterian Church in Denton, Texas. A former Board member and Board President of HOPE, Inc., Paula supports charities that stress peacemaking and social justice.
